Found in December 2020 hurled up in a corner in Palma, severely underweight with advanced pneumonia. Sex unknown.
Kony left her hospitalized at the vet after finding her. She didn't survive the night.

Found in May 2021 at Plaza España, Palma, with a broken wing with signs of a cat bite, and full of parasites. Female.
Fully recovered. Learned to ring a bell to ask for sunflower seeds. Became Bell’s couple.

Found in July 2021 on a street in Palma. Sex unknown. A car had hit it. Suffered from neurological trauma and non-stop seizures. Died a couple of days later.

Found in August 2021 at Plaza España, Palma. Had smallpox. Sex unknown. Survived a couple of days before smallpox spread into its lungs.

Found at the end of August 2021, underweight, dirty and jaded at Plaza España, Palma, near the entrance of a Taco Bell. Didn’t flee when approached. Suspected female.
Has a heart murmur and arrhythmia. Twists her neck convulsively in what looks like sequels of a paramyxovirus infection. Stopped being able to fly.

Found in August 2021 as a squab at Plaza España, Palma, near the entrance of a Taco Bell. Underweight and ravaged with smallpox. Male.

Piçon
Found by someone else in January 2022 as a squab at the side of a road, in shock and not moving. They brought him to us. Male.
Fully recovered. Became Chung Ha’s couple.

Chung Ha
Found in February 2022 at Plaza España, Palma, with a messed up foot. Tons of tangled-up strings cut her blood circulation. Female.
Two of her fingers had to be amputated. Became Piçon’s couple.
Later on broke a leg and punctured her breast, but she fully recovered.
Her poo looks and smells like diarrhea, but a vet analysis didn’t find anything wrong.

Found in July 2022 at Plaza del Olivar, Palma, with a multiple fracture on one leg, first stages of smallpox, underweight and covered in poo. Not a squab, but very young. Male.
Didn’t recover the full mobility of the leg; walks limping. The tip of a finger necrotized and had to be amputated.

Cloro
A couple from Sometimes found this wood pigeon in their pool in September 2022. When taking it out, it didn’t move, so they called us. Sex unknown.
He was severely underweight and had swallowed a lot of pool water. Could not stand without falling. Started eating and drinking by himself a few days later. For a couple of weeks he looked like it was recovering properly, but we found him dead one morning.

Cecil
Wood pigeon found by someone else in October 2022 in Portals Nous. Couldn’t fly and had difficulty walking. Upset stomach, underweight, anemic, deadly amount of internal parasites. Sex unknown.
A few weeks in, he looked completely recovered except because he refused to eat by himself.
On mid-December, about 2 months after being rescued, his health quickly decayed in a single day and died during the night while hospitalized at the vet. The apparent cause was liver and kidney failure.

Found by someone else in October 2022 in the middle of the road in a roundabout between Es Pont D’Inca and Marratxí. Wood pigeon squab. Couldn’t walk or fly, severely underweight, respiratory problems, liver damage, smallpox, paramyxovirus, joint inflammation, stunted legs, full of parasites. Sex unknown.
Started with partial blindness that developed into full blindness. Needed to be fed manually by us. I had it with me at all times, taking care of him.
On March 18, after what looked like brain complications, he died peacefully in my hands. His death affected me deeply.

Found in January 2023 as a squab by someone else at Instituts, Palma. Too weak to fly, completely unable to move their feet, difficulty keeping their balance, full of parasites, refusing to eat. Sex unknown.
Suspected neurological damage, either by a virus or by being hit by a car.

Found in January 2023 on S'Arenal's beach. He was unable to move one of her feet and didn't flee. Male.
An X-ray revealed she had swallowed a small metal ring and was being poisoned by it.

Found in January 2023 on S'Arenal's beach. We initially thought she had smallpox, but it turned out she had her left eye pierced and that side of her face covered in pus. Suspected female.
The eye was stitched at the sides to help it heal.

Found at the end of January 2023 as a squab by someone else, in the middle of a street in Palma. Nothing apparently wrong with him, he was just too young to be left alone. Sex unknown.

Had paramyxovirus, which makes her turn her neck to look up almost permanently. Suspected female.
On May 18, 2023, her condition got worse and she couldn't control her muscle spans anymore. After being hospitalized for a day, her health deteriorated critically and we had to put her to sleep.

Found by someone else in April 2023 as a very young squab, near Plaça de l'Olivar in Palma. Healthy but alone. Sex unknown.

Found by Kony on the verge of death in April 2023 as a squab, near the post office in S'Arenal. Paramixo virus, all kinds of parasites, internal worms, and an infected eye with internal bleeding caused by traumatism. Male.
We took him to the animal shelter in late April 2023, but it didn't seem to adapt well, so we took it back a month after.

Found by Kony at the end of April 2023 in Avenida Europa, S'Arenal. Breathlessness, lethargy, underweight, trichomonas, trichomoniasis. Sex unknown.
She was extremely weak; could barely swallow without choking. She died the day after, probably for lack of breath.

Rescued by the owner of the animal shelter and given to us, in May 2023, to take care of while he recovers. Extremely weak and heavily affected by paramyxovirus; didn't look like she would last long. Sex unknown.
She died a day after, likely choking on vomit.

Found by someone else in May 2023, in a street in Corea, Palma. Had a large wound on the head covered in dried blood. Sex unknown.

Found by someone else under a car in May 2023, in Avenida Argentina, Palma. Dirty, with parasites, and feet extremely tangled with strands of hair. Fancy breed and unusually docile. Female.
Couldn't fly and dragged a wing. Looked like it could have some metal in her stomach that was poisoning her.

Young wood pigeon found by someone else in late May 2023. She didn't fly and had what looked like an infection in one eye. Sex unknown.

7 babies
A building was being boarded up with 18 squabs inside. One of the workers took pity on them and called the caretaker of the animal shelter. We offered to help by taking some of them. Late May 2023.
